That's what some customers were saying after brewing the brand's cherry-flavored decaf coffee — only to discover it packed a serious caffeine punch. That's because the bags were mislabeled, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.

In a consumer alert, the agency said that Our Family Traverse City Cherry Artificially Flavored Decaf Light Roast Ground Coffee, distributed by Coffee Roasters, was incorrectly labeled as decaffeinated but actually contained caffeine.

Suffolk, Virginia-based Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA has voluntarily recalled more than 4,100 12-ounce bags of the mislabeled product, the FDA said.

The recalled bags were sold in Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Consumers who purchased the product can return it to the place of purchase for a full refund, the agency said.
